Our History

Our company started in 1980 when our owner, Brian, started Dutchess Decking fresh out of college with a focus on decking, sunrooms, and screen enclosures. In 1990 Brian recognized the demand for full-service remodeling and changed our name to Dutchess Building Specialists Inc. This led us to 2003 where we were nationally recognized as a “Big 50” remodeler. Today we are working hard educating homeowners on the remodeling process.
