Now that we’ve set the clocks forward, longer days and warmer weather seem almost within reach, and with that comes thoughts of home improvement, lawn care and other related topics that we can all learn more about by visiting a home show.

There are a number of events coming up in the Hudson Valley, all of which provide an opportunity for homeowners to connect with businesses that can help us make improvements to our spaces without having to make numerous phone calls.

You can speak with many business owners in person, and they’re all right under one roof.

Hudson Valley Spring Home & Landscape Show
Locally, the Hudson Valley Spring Home & Landscape Show is coming up on April 5, 6 and 7, right in Poughkeepsie at Gold’s Gym Sports and Exhibition Complex, 258 Titusville Road.

“Whether you are committed to a home project or just exploring your options, the Hudson Valley Spring Home & Landscape Show brings together homeowners with local and national companies for three full days of ideas, resources and expert advice. It’s everything for in and around the home, under one roof,” explains a press release from American Consumer Shows, which produces the event.

“At the home show, homeowners interact directly with brand-name manufacturers, retailers and service providers showcasing the latest in everything from windows and doors to roofing and general contractors. Homeowners can explore fabulous exhibits of kitchens, baths, solar installations and more,” the release states.

“If you’re renovating your home, or planning a project in the future, you won’t want to miss the show,” said Donna Cruz, marketing manager for American Consumer Shows. “The array of participating exhibitors and the products and services offered make this show a great resource for homeowners, with something for just about everybody,”

Cruz said the show at Gold’s Gym will feature more than 100 vendors.

Brian Altmann, founder and president of DBS Remodel, said he has participated in the show for more than 20 years.

At the upcoming show at Gold’s Gym, Altmann said, “We have a double booth that promotes full-service remodeling in the Hudson Valley.” (….)
